Britain to witness freezing fog, sub zero temperatures to persist

Britain has already been witnessing icy cold weather conditions with temperatures well below the freezing point. This week is expected to be brutally cold for the residents and temperatures may even fall below than that of Iceland in the coming days.

Travel chaos is expected during the next few days as freezing fog will blanket the region. Driving conditions will remain hazardous during the early hours of Tuesday morning. Both Wales and England will be the most affected as the cold days will stop the fog from clearing up in areas where the temperatures are way below the normal levels.

Travel conditions may become difficult in London as well due to the likelihood of the freezing fog affecting the airports and roads. Flight delays are also a possibility especially the ones scheduled during the early morning hours.

Temperatures are expected to be below the freezing point ranging between minus 2 and minus 5 degree Celsius. Last week, weather conditions were all the worse with South Farnborough, Hampshire recording its minimum temperature at -8.1 degree Celsius.

Central and South England will witness dense and persistent fog for the next 24 to 48 hours. However, the temperatures are expected to rise once foggy conditions clear up. Thus, the worst of chilly weather conditions will be over.
