Bonfire night to be freezing cold across United Kingdom

November 4, 2016 10:37 AM |

Bonfire night to be freezing cold across United KingdomBritain is all set to witness freezing weather conditions. Bonfire night is expected to observe a frosty start in many parts of the United Kingdom. These conditions will be attributed to the polar maritime air mass due to which Britain will receive colder air in turn causing the chill to return. On Saturday, the bonfire night, there may be areas where temperatures might drop down to zero.

During the month of October, weather conditions were warm, however, that seems to be old news now. In the southern parts, the temperatures are likely to witness a drop of about two to three degrees.

Areas including Norwich, Manchester, Birmingham, London, and Shropshire may witness chilly conditions with the possibility of frost in many parts. The freezing cold temperatures, however, are likely to be observed during early morning and late night hours only.

The trend is expected to remain the same until Monday. In fact, frosty conditions may even continue over many parts. Around the beginning of next week, there may be a rise in temperatures across the coastal areas, however, weather will remain cold over areas including Birmingham.

As per the Met Office UK, this year, a cold start to winter has increased by a good 30 percent. Cold snaps will also be observed during the months of November and December. Christmas may witness chillier weather conditions.
