Thanksgiving is just a day away, and weather wise, it does not look good for many parts of the United States. There are two storms which are resulting in snow, rains and strong winds over areas right from Oregon to New York.
Wind as well as blizzard warnings are in place in many parts of the West Coast including California, Nevada, Oregon as well as Idaho. Travel conditions will be dangerous across the parts of Great Plains and the Rockies and Great Plains until Saturday. Bomb Cyclone Weather phenomenon has been wreaking havoc in California and Oregon.
In view of these storms, at least 615 flights have been cancelled across the United States. As far as delays are concerned, around 3400 flights have been delayed with at least 332 outgoing flights and 309 incoming flights being delayed at Denver. Southwest has had the most cancelled flights at 207 and delayed being 677.
Snowfall has already begun in parts of mountainous regions of East California with Oregon observing whiteout and blizzard conditions. Arizona will have impossible travel conditions tomorrow and day after.
California will see significant travel delays and road closures. There is another storm which will lash the Midwest with heavy snow stretching up to the Northeast.
The storm has already unleashed powerful winds and caused snow and rain over the Plains and has moved to the upper Midwest Wednesday.
A foot of snow is expected in some areas of Wisconsin, Minnesota and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Winds will cause the snow to blow and drift, which will result in visibility issues.
