Blistering heatwave makes a comeback in Britain

September is just around the corner and so is autumn season for Britain but the country is likely to bake in soaring temperatures of 30°C. Heatwave is expected to make a comeback soon for the UK.

The sweltering heat is likely to continue for more than a month. Reason for the blistering hot weather can be well associated with the flow of hot air from Africa and the Continent.

As per the forecasters, due to the displacement of the jet stream, UK is expected to remain sweltering until October. Moreover, the southern regions of the country are likely to witness temperature of 30°C with sunny skies.

Similar heatwave conditions were even observed in July and initial August as well. The forecasters do believe that this heatwave is likely to be very warm and hot bursts are expected throughout September. Hence, there will be spells of drier weather along with some wetter conditions too.

This cycle of warming has now ended with an overall neutral El Nino southern oscillation pattern now established in the tropical Pacific. Temperatures are expected to remain warm, although would be nearer average in the west.

We expect most of the rainfall during the month to happen over the west of the UK and Ireland, with more eastern areas tending to see rainfall totals lower than average.
