Bangladesh has received on and off rains during the month of October. Presently, a cyclonic circulation is prevailing over northern parts of Bangladesh and the north-south trough is extending from Sub-Himalayan West Bengal to the Bay of Bengal across the country.

As per Weathermen at Skymet Weather, scattered rain and thundershowers are expected in southern and northeastern parts of the country. The intensity of rain will be light in nature. However, one to two moderate spells may also occur.
In the past day, rainfall occurred over southern parts and northeastern parts. In the last 24 hours from 8.30 am on Sunday, Sandwip recorded heavy rain to the tune of 45.5 mm. In the same span of time, Hatia witnessed light rain to the tune of 9 mm, Khepupara 4.8 mm, Chandpur 3 mm, Patuakhali 2.9 mm, Bhola 2.5 mm and Comilla 0.5 mm of rain.
These showers can be attributed to the above-mentioned weather systems. Fog also prevailed over northern parts of the country during the last 24 hours. It is expected that fog may intensify in many parts during the morning hours. The weather will remain comfortable and there will be no significant change in the minimum and maximum temperatures.
