Though summers have not yet set in Sydney, temperatures are still scaling up to good heights. As per the weatherman, the next five days from now, Sydney will witness two consecutive hot spells.
It seems that the typical January like summer has hit some major cities as the temperature also reached to a soaring 40°C.
The reason for the scorching January like weather in the city can be associated with the groundhog day of weather where the tedious fronts pick the dry Australian air further dumping it on the eastern Seaboard.
The burnt weather is expected to lash the regions like Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Darwin and regional areas of Victoria and NSW. But a lack of strong winds may reduce threat of further blazes.
As per the Bureau of Meteorology, the weather front was heading towards east from Western Australia due to reach the coast by Friday. Along with the high pressure system, temperatures will go up steadily.
Although the excessive warm weather can be a forerunner to possibility of bushfires, the foreseen conditions may also mitigate the risk. As due to the northwesterly winds, risk of more wildfires also pop up though the winds are not expected to be as strong as it were last weekend.
For the next five days, Brisbane may witness highs in late 20s, very close to 30°C with possibility of cloudy conditions. Maximums in Perth will be around 28°C on Friday and Saturday. While 30°C is expected for Canberra for the weekend. Penrith, in Sydney’s west can witness sweltering 36°C on Friday and can curtail down to 29°C on the weekend, rising again to 37°C on Monday and Tuesday.
