Australia bushfires have been wreaking havoc over the nation, and there seems to be no stopping whatsoever. Each day, more homes are being lost and more species are moving towards the brink of extinction.
A viral image of a burnt Kangaroo has shown how scary and horrific the whole situation is in Australia, and how difficult it has been for everyone residing in there.
In Victoria alone, at least 923,000 hectares have already been burnt, and at least 39 fires continue to burn. There have been at least four emergency warnings and two evacuation warnings. The current Victorian fires have charred 110 properties and at least 220 outbuildings have been affected.
Temperatures have been adding to the fires with Albury Airport recording 41.6 degrees Celsius and Rutherglen observing 45.6 degrees Celsius. As per Bureau of Meteorology, there could be sprinkle of rains today and tomorrow, but it won’t be any more than 5 mm in the northeastern region.
At least 20 mm of rain is expected in East Gippsland in the coming couple of days, which could be some relief for regions who have been spending days fighting fires. In fact, warning numbers for coastal parts of East Gippsland, have been downgraded the cool change had swept through, with temperatures dropping to their 20s.
However, Victoria's Manhattan sized fires could be flaring again next Saturday, as temperatures would once again spike up.
In New South Wales, at least hundreds of properties have already suffered with over a dozen emergency warnings in place.
In South Australia, at least 170,000 hectares of Kangaroo Island have been charred and there is no guarantee that more homes will not be lost.
