Atlantic storms will continue to hit UK

UK Rains

Throughout mid of July, the heat experienced across the United Kingdom has now vanished and is not likely to return through at least the first week of August.

Incessant rains are expected to dampen most areas of the UK, particularly the North West region.

Bright spells are possible over the Midlands and southern England from this weekend to the coming Monday with some rains normally lasting for 20 minutes or less.

The risk for more widespread drenching storms will increase from the mid of the next week to the following weekend as numerous Atlantic storms continue to target the UK. The first of these squalls are expected to arrive from Tuesday into Thursday giving more substantial amounts of rainfall.

As of now, flooding is not too much of a concern, though more or less localized hurdles are probable.

Subsequently to each storm the following week, a fresh cool air is likely to surge southward keeping temperatures close to below average over Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and Northern England.

Towards south and east, the Midlands and Southern England can anticipate normal temperatures for most days since the coolest air remains farther north.
