We’ve all seen the map of India while finishing geography assignments during our school days. But what if the life down below came alive all of a sudden? NASA astronaut Terry Vrits has gifted Indians with a few magical images and short videos of weather activity over the country.

The astronaut has been kind enough to post some stunning images and videos of India from ‘up there’. A few Vine clips uploaded by Terry show a massive lightning storm and India’s east coast along with the Ganges flowing by on the left side of the frame.

The videos include a day shot and a few night shots as well. Terry has also shared a vine clip of thunderstorms of Indonesia, an image of Typhoon Noul churning over the Pacific, moonlit clouds over India, and an image of the Indian city of Ahmedabad.
