On March 9, heavy showers lashed the rain-parched Dubai. The Pearl of the Persian Gulf observed an unusually rainy morning. While some have decided to blame Climate Change for bringing rain in the desert city, others have termed it as nature’s wrath.
Streets were flooded, and vehicles were half submerged in water. Air traffic was severely affected with flights being delayed. Schools remained closed for two days.
However, after every storm, the sun always shines. The rains have taken a back seat, and sunny days are back again in Dubai.
Meanwhile, an Instagram user, who also happens to be the Crown Prince of Dubai managed to capture a stunning view of nature’s lightning show. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, who is popularly known as Fazza, shot a video of lightning over the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa.
The incredible video was shot at 1,977 frames per second which transformed this nanosecond occurrence into something so spectacular.
