Hoax Watch: Earth will not witness 8 days of darkness in June

Hoax Watch: Earth will not witness days of darkness in JuneThe hoax season is back again. If you have again been believing the NASA story of the Earth witnessing eight days of darkness in June 2016, you’ve been trolled, my friend. The warning saying that the Sun will not come out between June 10 and June 17 is a complete hoax.

On April 26, a man named Ralfh Johnfred Ramos Ecle posted an update on Facebook, claiming that his story does not only have basis but has also been confirmed by the US Space Agency NASA itself. According to him, NASA in a press conference confirmed that the Sun will not rise for over a week.

Here is the Facebook post that took the internet by storm.

Hoax Watch: Earth will not witness days of darkness in June

The word NASA attached to the hoax sparked some interest among users and various websites. Last year during the month of September, another hoax of the Earth witnessing 15 days of days of darkness in November 2015 had also done several rounds on the internet. However, NASA had shrugged off of confirming any such report.

If you too fell for the internet prank, relax, the Sun isn’t going anywhere, and doomsday isn’t falling upon us humans any time soon. At least not in June.
