Turtle tunnel, Japan: Japan railways took an initiative and installed turtle tunnels to prevent the reptiles being injured on tracks. These turtles often used to get crushed in between the rail tracks while the train is switching between the tracks or used to get stuck at the junctions thereby creating travel issues for passengers. Five tunnels have been built as of now near the switches and are checked monthly in order to prevent these slow-goers from getting hurt.
