Wheat sowing area in India is at 306.35 lakh hectares as on February 13, this year as compared to last year’s 315.32 lakh hectares, according to the Ministry of Agriculture. Total area coverage under Rabi crops across the country as on February 13, 2015 moves to 615.74 lakh hectares while last year’s sowing area was at 656.89 lakh hectare.
