Wheat harvesting is at peak stage in the key producing states of north India. Untimely rains in the last month caused damage to the wheat crop. Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan are the major wheat producing states. Wheat prices were declined in the major spot markets of north India on the account of the higher arrivals.
