Wheat| The European Union's crop monitoring

The European Union's crop monitoring service MARS raised its forecast for average winter cereals yields in this year's harvest as favourable weather in major producing countries helped crop development. MARS pegged the average soft wheat yield for the 2016 crop at 6.11 ton per hectare, up from 5.96 ton per hectare estimated last month.
