Presently wheat crop is in the Crown Root Initiation (CRI) stage in the Northern States of India. Current cool waves in the key producing states are congenial for the wheat crop growth, according to the Agriculture Expert. Wheat sown area in India is at 241.91 lakh hectares as compared to the last year’s sown area 251.32 lakh hectares.
