India’s wheat output is set to slide marginally to 907.8 lakh tonnes in current crop year from a record 958.5 lakh tonnes in 2013-14. As on May 26, 267.06 lakh tonnes of wheat had been procured by the FCI and State agencies, 5 lakh tonnes more than during the corresponding period the year before when 262.86 lakh tonnes had been lifted.
