In an ongoing Rabi season, Wheat sowing is up 14% at 173.93 lakh hectares as compared to 152.56 lakh hectares sown at the same time last year. Normal in season area of Wheat is 304.05 lakh hectares in the country. Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Haryana and Bihar are the largest producer of Rabi wheat.
