Global wheat production is expected to reach 722 million tonnes (MT) in 2015 year, around 1 percent below the current estimate for 2014 year, mainly due to the reduced plantings in the European Union (EU), according to the latest report released by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations.
