France’s soft wheat estimate has climbed to 40.8 million tonnes, above last month’s already record level of 39.3, said the country’s farm ministry. Harvest results confirmed wheat was little affected by heat-wave and drought conditions at the start of summer and had retained strong yield potential, supported by favourable weather.
