France should harvest 37.9 million tonnes of soft wheat this year, up 1.0 percent compared with 2014, the farm ministry of France said. The rise was due to a 3 percent increase in the sown area. Yields, however, were seen falling on last year, with the ministry pegging them at an average 7.34 tonnes a hectare, down from 7.48 tonnes in 2014.
