Turmeric sowing is good in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka however acreages are reported down in Telangana. In Telangana, Turmeric acreages fell to 21,028 hectares as on 6th July from 25,516 hectares a year ago. As per reports, Turmeric exports in April 2016, increased by 27% compared to last year. Prices are ruling firm at major spot markets.
