Turmeric sowing has started in Sangli district of Maharashtra and Belgaum district of Karnataka. Around 65% sowing has been already completed and expected to get complete by the end of July. Turmeric sowing in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu will start after onset of Monsoon, due to water scarcity.
