Turmeric prices were showing bearish trend in the major spot markets of southern states. There is lack of sufficient upcountry demand; hence the stockiest are procuring only 40-50% of the turmeric. The upcountry exporters are expecting fresh good orders for turmeric by mid August month, said a turmeric trader from Erode market.
