Turmeric crop is in the rhizome development stage in the key producing states namely Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra. According to the Agriculture Experts, turmeric harvesting will start from the February month. Rajapuri (local variety), Selam, Krishna, Phule Swarupa are the major high yielding turmeric varieties.
