Turmeric| Traders procured good number of turmeric

Traders procured good number of turmeric bags at Erode markets in Andhra Pradesh. Only local varieties arrived for sale and all the 400 bags of new crop were purchased by the traders, as they have received little quantity of upcountry orders. At the Erode market, new finger turmeric was sold at Rs 9,129-9,809 per quintal; the root variety Rs 8,809-9,089 per quintal.
