The standing turmeric crop is in good condition in Erode district and some other parts in Tamil Nadu. Similarly, the crop condition in other places except Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh is also in flourishing condition. The drought in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh has caused a dip of 30 per cent production in the two States.
