The price of the turmeric further decreased at Erode market. Finger turmeric decreased by Rs 600 per quintal and the root variety by Rs 350 per quintal in the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association Sales yard. At the market, finger turmeric sold at Rs 7455 to Rs 8609 per quintal and root variety at Rs 7099 to Rs 8099 per quintal.
