The arrival of new turmeric were increased in spot markets at Erode. Buyers are showing interest in the new crop. New crop arrivals were sold at a higher price, said the trader. At the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association, the finger turmeric was sold at Rs 7,750-9,899 per quintal and the root variety Rs 7,829-9,099 per quintal.
