Turmeric| Spot turmeric prices were decreased

Spot turmeric prices were decreased at Erode markets following a slump in futures trade and slack upcountry demand. Only 45 per cent of the turmeric was sold in the Erode market. The prices of the finger and root varieties were down by Rs 100 per quintal.  Bearish trend in turmeric price will prevail in coming days, said the traders.
