Spot prices of the Salem Turmeric variety were increased at Erode markets on higher demand. At Erode market, traders quoted Rs 8,500 per quintal for the Salem variety. At the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association sales yard, the finger variety was sold at Rs 5,129-7,544 per quintal; the root variety Rs 4,899-7,085 per quintal.
