Presently turmeric crop is in vegetative growth stage in the key producing states (Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Maharashtra). Turmeric prices were showing bearish trend on account of poor quality arrivals in the southern states markets. At Sangli spot market, turmeric (rajapuri variety) prices were at Rs 6000-9000 per quintal.
