Presently turmeric crop is in the vegetative stage in key producing states like Maharashtra, Karanataka and Andhra Pradesh. Farmers are advised to carry out earthening up in turmeric field. Turmeric will be harvested in the month of March, said a Agriculture Expert. Erode, Sangli, Nizambad are the major turmeric markets.
