On the supply side, turmeric production in 2015-2016 (from July to June) is likely to fall this season due to deficient monsoon during kharif season. Major turmeric growing regions of Telangana, Karnataka and Maharashtra have witnessed decreased intensity of rainfall during July-August caused the turmeric acreage to decline.
