On the supply side, turmeric production in 2015-16 (July-June) is likely to fall this season due to deficient monsoon during kharif season. Major turmeric growing regions of Telangana, Karnataka and Maharashtra have witnessed decreased intensity of rainfall during July-August caused the turmeric acreage to decline.
