Despite heavy arrivals, turmeric prices at Erode spot market increased due to quality arrivals. The price of the finger turmeric increased by Rs 300 per quintal and that of the root variety by Rs 200. At the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association, finger variety was sold at Rs 8,651-10,100 per quintal while the root turmeric variety was sold at Rs 8,125-9,314.
