At Erode spot market, turmeric prices were decreased due to heavy arrivals. The prices of the finger and root varieties were down by Rs 100-150 per quintal. At the Erode Turmeric Merchants Association sales yard, the finger turmeric was sold at Rs 5,299-7,688 per quintal; the root variety was sold at Rs 5,099-7,199 per quintal.
