At Erode spot market, prices of the quality Salem variety turmeric were increased on upcountry orders. The finger variety was up Rs 200 per quintal and the root variety by Rs 100. The Salem finger turmeric price touched Rs 9,600 per quintal. At the Erode, the finger turmeric was sold at Rs 5,719-7,889 per quintal; the root variety Rs 5,489-7,399.
