As per sources, this year turmeric area has been increased to the tune of 8-10% than the last year in the key producing states such as Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Maharashtra all thanks to good monsoon. Last year, turmeric area was down due to low rains at the time of sowing in the key producing states.
