As per department of commerce data, turmeric exports in the first two months (April- May) of FY 2016-17 increased by 31 per cent to 21,256 tonnes compared to last year exports of 16,151 tonnes. Spain is the largest importer of turmeric followed by Iran, Morocco and UAE. Spain imported about 76 per cent of volume in first two months of current financial year.
