Arrival of turmeric to the spot markets at Erode declined on the back of slack demand. Traders procured 65 per cent stocks for their immediate local sales, according to the President of Erode Turmeric Merchants Association.  At the Erode market, the finger variety went for Rs 7,909-8,677 per quintal; the root variety at Rs 7,508-8,110.
