After eight months, turmeric prices were crossed the Rs 9,000 per quintal mark at Erode markets, Andhra Pradesh and were ruling at Rs 9,200 despite heavy arrivals. Traders have received ample upcountry demand for quality turmeric and procured huge stock to fulfil their upcountry demand and also local turmeric grinding units and masala firms’ orders.
