Tur| The Central Government has decided

The Central Government has decided to import an additional 5,000 tonnes of the tur dal through state-owned MMTC in the coming days. The imported tur dal will be supplied to state governments at subsidised rates for further distribution to retail consumers, which are at present more than Rs 150 per kg for tur dal. This will ease down the burden on consumers
