Presently new arrivals of tur or pigeon pea is increasing in the major spot markets of India. Tur prices were Rs 4500-7000 per quintal. Tur contributes about 20 percent to the total production of pulses in the country. India is the largest producer of tur in the world and contributes about 81 percent of the total world production.
