Higher prices of Tur in 2015 has made a huge impact on Tur acreage this year. As on 23rd September, Tur acreage rose more than 40% to 52.79 lakh hectares as compared to 37.65 lakh hectares at corresponding period of last year. This year acreage is up by more than 31.8% from Normal in season acreage. Tur normal acreage is 40.05 lakh hectares in the country.
