Tur or pigeonpea harvesting is started in Karnataka state. Central government has increased the MSP of tur by Rs 50 per quintal as compare to the last year and fixed at Rs 4350 per quintal. Tur or pigeonpea crop requires less water for the growth and mostly cultivated as rainfed crop, according to the Agriculture Expert.
