Presently tur crop is in pod formation stage in the key tur producing states of India. In the prevailing weather condition incidence of tur pod borer is been observed on the crop. Decline in the area under tur or pigeon pea has affected the production of Kharif pulses which is estimated at 5.20 million tonnes for the year of 2014-2015.
