Central government has increased the MSP of tur by Rs 50 per quintal as compare to the last year and fixed at Rs 4350 per quintal. The new tur variety ICPH 3672 developed by the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-arid Tropics (ICRISAT) give a yield of 1.6 to 2 tonnes per hectare against the present average of 1.2 tonnes.
