As per the recent reports received from States to Agriculture Ministry, tur or pigeonpea acreage were declined for the first time this season as compared to the previous year. In India across the states, this season tur is sown on 29.82 lakh hectares as compare to 30.24 lakh hectares last year, according to the Agriculture Ministry.
