As per the data released by Ministry of Agriculture on July 21, Tur sowing is down by 19% than the same time of last year. So far, 29.32 lakh hectares has been sown with Tur compared to 36.30 lakh hectares sown at the same time of last year. This year, most of the Pulses area has been shifted towards cotton.
